Congratulations to our Bus Campaign Photo Competition Winner
Friday, May 18th, 2012Congratulations to Liam Joynson, a learner in the Business and Administration department who won a £20 Amazon Voucher for his entry to the Bus Campaign Photo Competition.
A Greenbank College advert appeared on a bus which travelled round the City Centre and Dingle throughout April and May. The advert encouraged potential learners to visit the College’s website to find out more about what courses are on offer.
The competition asked people to keep a look out for the bus and take photograph when they saw it.
Liam’s name was picked out of all the entries we received.
Liam said “I didn’t think I was going to win so I was genuinely surprised to hear than I’d won the voucher. I think I’m going to spend my voucher on Manga comics or some DVD’s.”
Thank You to The Shredding Team!
Tuesday, May 15th, 2012Thanks to Business and Administration and Customer Service learners Rachael Ware, Jamie Palin, Susan Clark, Sophie McDonald, Elham Khalil, Sean Leavesly, Bryan Leavesly, Liam Joinson, Kelly Ferguson, Adam Hind, Akram Al-Muntassir, Ashley Wilkinson,Kerry, Ratcliffe,Nicole Currie, Heather Molyneux, Shaun Ponsonby, Alison Burdet, Hazar Mahamed, Eilis McMulkin – Learning Support Officer and Christine Williamson – Customer Service Tutor for all their help with sorting and shredding old College paperwork recently.
It was a mammoth (and sometimes boring!) task which means that storage space is now much clearer and safer for everyone in the building. With the help of the learners the waste has now been cleared efficiently and confidentially.
Jim Murray, Business and Administration tutor said ‘The learners worked well as a team, everyone had a role to play and this increased the output. Teamwork forms part of the business & administration and customer service standards and encourages communication skills and improves interpersonal skills.’
Learners in the Business and Administration Department also offer an administration service including photocopying, shredding, binding and mail service to staff at Greenbank.
