The Catering and Hospitality industry offers many varied job opportunities in a wide range of settings from bars and cafés to large hotels and cruise ships. Practical sessions take place in the kitchen of Greenbank College’s canteen and students provide the catering facility for other students and staff. NVQ students are expected to gain additional workplace experience through placements in the kitchen at Time Out Café Bar in Greenbank Sports Academy.

We can also arrange placements in other suitable catering facilities (as agreed with your tutor).

Time Out Café Bar also holds regular ‘Come Dine With Us’ evenings when catering students prepare and cook a 3 course meal on the first Thursday of the month during term times. See our Events for details

Non-accredited Catering & Hospitality courses:

Non-accredited courses get you engaged in activities that help develop your skills and increase confidence and well-being. You will receive a Certificate of Achievement at the end of the course.
