Course content

Students can choose a minimum of 3 of the following units and must achieve a minimum of 9 credits:

  • Database Software
  • IT Security for Users
  • Presentation Software
  • Spreadsheet Software
  • Word Processing Software
  • Using Email
  • Using the Internet

Who is the course for?

iTQ is modular with units covering everything from making the best use of technology in business systems to communication with colleagues and customers.

The flexible iTQ at Level 1 is available in award size with a wide variety of units to choose from.

Assessment method

All units will be internally assessed by course tutors and externally moderated by OCR Examiner-moderators.

Entry requirements

All prospective students will undertake an initial assessment to ensure they have basic computer knowledge. Students should have gained or be working towards recognised qualifications in English and Maths at Entry 3.

Future opportunities / career options

Progression onto iTQ Level 2 Award or Certificate.

Course Fees

Courses are free for all students aged 16 – 18 (or up to 24 if you declare a disability and have an Education, Health & Care Plan).
