OCR Level 2 Award in IT User Skills (iTQ)

Course content

Students can choose a minimum of 3 of the following units and must achieve a minimum of 10 credits:

  • Database Software
  • IT Security for Users
  • Presentation Software
  • Spreadsheet Software
  • Using Email
  • Word Processing Software

Who is the course for?

Students who want to demonstrate to employers they have achieved a recognised standard in IT. Learners interested in developing IT skills for personal use.

Assessment method

All units will be internally assessed by course tutors and externally moderated by OCR Examiner-moderators.

Entry requirements

Candidates should possess Level 1 iTQ Award/Certificate or good computer knowledge. All prospective students will undertake an initial assessment. Students should have gained or be working towards recognised qualifications in English and Maths at Level 1.

Future opportunities / career options

Progression onto iTQ Level 2 Certificate.

When is the course run?

One and a half days a week. Tuesday 9am-4pm and Wednesday 9am – 12 noon starting Tuesday 13 September 2016

Course Fees

Courses are free for all students aged 16 – 18 (or up to 24 if you declare a disability and have an Education, Health & Care Plan).
