Who is the course for?

This course designed to recognise students’ practical skills in using information technology to carry out straightforward tasks in a range of vocational contexts. The course is flexible and has unit-based approach, which allows students to work towards individual units. Using ICT Entry 3 is suitable for all learners and for those who are new to using ICT and who wish to gain accreditation for newly acquired skills.

Assessment method

All units are centre-assessed and externally moderated. Candidates will be required to produce evidence demonstrating that they have met all of the assessment criteria and any assessment requirements specified in the unit. Units will be Pass or Fail.

Entry requirements

This qualification has been designed to be accessible to learners who are entirely new to using ICT and therefore no prior experience or knowledge of ICT is required.

Courses are free for all students aged 16 – 18 (or up to 24 if you declare a disability and have an Education, Health & Care Plan).
