Course content

Learn how to construct a simple jacket or coat using appropriate fabric and sewing techniques.

Who is the course for?

Students with sewing experience who wish to develop their garment construction skills and make outerwear.

Entry requirements

A good working knowledge of the sewing machine and sewing techniques and an ability to work safely, operating machinery in the sewing room.

Assessment Method

Ongoing informal assessment on completion of practical task.

Future opportunities / career options

Progression to further outerwear courses in Terms 2 & 3

Thursday 1 – 4pm starting Thursday 14 September 2017 (13 weeks)

How much does the course cost?

£39 – See Money Matters for fee exemptions.

A registration and material fee of £20 is also payable by everyone.

Fees must be paid on time. Failure to pay on time will result in a £10 late payment charge.
