Drawing and Lettering for Positive Mental Health

Course content

Explore the world of letters, text and illustrations. Try a variety of hand written lettering techniques including cursive, 3D lettering and develop illustrative skills.

Each week we will try a new piece of drawing or writing equipment and experiment with effects we can create, working towards creating a final piece.

Explore mediums, use both text and pictures to create a piece of artwork.

Your final piece could be a poster, illustrated passage or an illuminated letter.

Participants are encouraged to think about positive messages, ways to support people with mental health conditions, or breakdown some of the stigma around mental health and express what it is like to have a mental health problem to others.
