Course content

During this course learners will develop decorative embroidery skills using a sewing machine. A variety of decorative techniques will be covered using a selection of fabrics and embellishments.

Who is the course for?

This course is suited to a learner with previous experience on a sewing machine and an eagerness to experiment with stitching and design.

Entry requirements

Must be able to operate a sewing machine and have the ability to work safely in a workroom environment.

Assessment Method

Non accredited – no formal assessment. Regular tutor feedback on progress across course.

Progression to further sewing courses in the next term.

When is the course run?

Autumn Term: Friday 9am – 12 noon starting Friday 15 September 2017 – 13 weeks
Spring Term: Monday 9am – 12 noon starting Monday 8 January 2018 – 10 weeks

How much does the course cost?

Autumn Term: £39, Spring Term: £30 – See Money Matters for fee exemptions.

A registration and material fee of £20 is also payable by everyone.

Fees must be paid on time. Failure to pay on time will result in a £10 late payment charge.
