Course content

Students will expand their knowledge of production techniques used to make coats and jackets and will learn how to make an outerwear garment to a professional standard.

Who is the course for?

Students with sewing experience who wish to advance their garment construction skills and make outerwear.

Entry requirements

A good all-round knowledge of the sewing machine and construction techniques and an ability to work safely operating machinery in the sewing room.

Assessment Method

Ongoing informal assessment on completion of practical tasks.

Progression to Advanced Outerwear (Jackets & Coats) in Term 3

When is the course run?

Thursday 1 – 4pm starting Thursday 11 January 2018 (10 weeks)

How much does the course cost?

£30 – See Money Matters for fee exemptions.

A registration and material fee of £20 is also payable by everyone.

Fees must be paid on time. Failure to pay on time will result in a £10 late payment charge.
