Course content
Learners complete tasks including:
- Read, send and receive an email
- Enter, edit and format information including text, graphics, numbers or any digital item
- Insert and position graphics or other digital item
- Process numbers
- Print, check for accuracy and meaning
- Open and save files
- Use search engines to find information
Who is the course for?
Learners who:
- Have achieved Entry Level 2 Functional Skills IT
- Are taking a vocational course for which IT is needed
- Are involved in Diplomas and Apprenticeships
- Would like to progress towards a vocational programme like iTQ
- Are involved in a learning programme to prepare them for work (adults)
Assessment method
Time limited written assessment at the end of the course.
Entry requirements
Functional Skills in English and Maths at Entry Level 2 or above.
Future opportunities / career options
Progression to Level 1 Functional Skills in IT course (equivalent to a D – G grade GCSE) or to a Level 1 vocational course.
When the course is run?
Daytime, 2 hours per week. 36 weeks per year.
