Greenbank College would like to say a massive “thank you” to all of our wonderful exhibitors who gave their time yesterday to talk to our students about pathways into sustainable work, ranging from traineeships with Cleaning Master to Supported Internships with partnering employers sucha as Liverpool City Council and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital Trust. Shane O’Leary from Wheels for All, which is an inclusive cycling charity, talked about job and volunteering opportunities and we had some interesting debate about “reverse inclusion”. Visitors had lots of fun going around the adjacent Sports Hall on some of the recumbent and “sociable” bicycles. Rob Fairfield form LFC Foundation told us all about the different “Works” programmes that they offer on employability. Greater Merseyside Learning Providers Federation (ASK), The Brain Charity, Hugh Baird College, Myerscough College, Knowsley Community College, Rocket Training and Independent Travel Training all provided so much useful information to our students as they consider their next steps into the world of training and work.
