Introduction to design for silk painting and batik; materials and equipment used. Learners produce a set of design ideas and fabric samples using traditional and experimental techniques.

For those who would like to explore silk painting and batik in depth, and experiment with unusual ideas and methods – in preparation for a qualification course or for own enjoyment.

Non- accredited – no formal assessment

Some design/textile experience required.
