As part of Liverpool City Council’s Learning Matters programme of free activities for adults with mild to moderate mental health concerns, Greenbank College has offered a five week programme of ‘Self Portrait’ tuition to eight people.

The painterselfportraitweb1s were really pleased with their work saying:

“I’ve never painted anything before and I’m really pleased with myself. I really like my eyes now!”

“I’m pleased with my portrait and recognise myself.”

The group, which met at Toxteth library, were brought together by Mary Seacole House and their coordinator Saiqa commented:

“The group have really engaged with the session and came regularly. We hope to display everyone’s portrait in The Kuumba Immani Millennium Centre.”

Other free opportunities are available through Learning Matters.
