Course content
Learners complete tasks including:
- Calculations with whole numbers and negative numbers
- Fractions, decimals and percentages in practical situations
- Using ratio
- Solving problems involving time and money
- Measurements, including converting metric units
- Calculating perimeter, area and volume
- Handling data, including line graphs and pie charts
- Statistics: mean and range
- Chance of events happening
Who is the course for?
This course is suitable for learners who:
- Have achieved Entry Level 3 Functional Skills
- Are taking a vocational course for which maths is needed
- Would like to brush up on their GCSE maths skills in order to start a vocational programme
