Sampling Machine Embroidery Techniques
Course content
Introduction to a range of more complex advanced machine embroidery techniques including bonding, layering, shadow work, trapunto and cut work. Final course project involves using a combination of techniques in an original design to create a small scale hanging or cushion panel.
Who is the course for?
Those with a basic working knowledge of machine embroidery. An ideal progression from “Machine Embroidery for Beginners”.

Non accredited – no formal assessment
Entry requirements
Ability to work safely and have a good knowledge of basic machine embroidery techniques.
Future opportunities / career options
Progression to “Machine Embroidered Wall Hanging” course.
When the course is run?
Daytime, 3 hours per week, Spring term 2012
How much does it cost?
Learners under the age of 18 are exempt from paying course fees.
For learners aged 18 plus, the cost of the course is £60 (including registration fee) plus £10 towards materials. However, there are some exemptions. Please visit the Money Matters page for further details.
The registration fee of £10 is still applicable to learners eligible for course fee exemptions.
