Students rewarded for good attendance

The link between good attendance and good attainment has been well researched and we encourage all our students to try to achieve at least 95% attendance on their course.

At the end of every term, we enter all students who have achieved 95% attendance or more into a prize draw.

The selected winners receive £30.

Congratulations to our spring term winners:

Study programme -Glen Turner; Andrew O’Brien-Settle; Joshua Cato; Nicholas Durney and Danile Davies.

Adult vocational – James Keenan; Suzanne Woods.

Community learning – Dheayea Abbas.

James Keenan, Health and Social Care student and winner of the adult vocational attendance prize said:

“I want to succeed on my course, so it’s really important that I come to College for as many lessons as I can, so that I can keep up.

It was a great surprise to have my good attendance acknowledged and I’m really pleased.”
