The Pass It On Community Reporters recently spoke with Greenbank College student Daniel Fawcett about his placement at Alder Hey. When Daniel was on his placement he was a volunteer Receptionist at the children’s hospital.

He has been on his placement for 2 months and now has more experience of facing customers, is confident in providing directions to people and he even got to give the children in the hospital some presents on Christmas Eve!

Daniel would like to get more work experience in this field so that he can get better at different skills. He would recommend doing a work placement to other students as it would help them to develop skills and knowledge about different jobs.

His least favourite tasks were answering the phone and some of the computer work, but overall he enjoyed it so much that he has increased his placement from one day to two days a week. We wish Daniel every success in his career!
