The National Careers Service provides information to support people with their career, learning and training choices. For parents, caregivers and guardians this is a great digital portal where you can get advice and information to help you support your son or daughter with their next steps.

Careerometer
This is a useful tool which enables you to compare working hours and average wages of job roles in the UK that you or your son/daughter is interested in pursuing. The Careerometer is a simple way for you to find out more about a specific industry and career. All you need to do is type in the job you’re interested in and then select it from the drop down menu. You can then add more options to compare which route you would prefer to go down. You can find information on a variety of careers from engineering to public services, hair and beauty plus much more!

BBC Bitesize Careers
Whether you’re deciding what to study, planning your future career or just curious about the world of work, we’re here to help with advice from experts and from young people who’ve found a path that suits them. This is a great interactive way to explore different career paths with your son or daughter. You can watch numerous videos featuring young people and industry professionals to help you visualise and understand what these different career pathways and job roles look like.

University recruitment departments provide outreach support to secondary schools and colleges to help prospective students, parents, teachers, tutors and advisers with impartial information, advice and guidance around Higher Education.
Take advantage of engaging programmes provided by each university for example: presentations, workshops, campus tours and residentials. Universities also deliver projects and activities in order to widen access for those students who are under-represented in higher education, specifically learners from low participation neighbourhoods, disadvantaged and low income backgrounds as well as students from ta cohorts such as looked after children/care leavers, disabled students, young adult carers, estranged students, adult learners, asylum seeking and refugee students and students from minority ethnic backgrounds.

Special and Alternative Provisions for Entry-Level Learners
Greenbank has compiled a resource and information pack about the different progression routes available to Entry 1, Entry 2 and Entry 3 learners when the times comes for them to explore their next steps.
