Course content

The Arts Award (Bronze) course is ideal if you are interested in developing confidence, teamworking and communication skills as they explore activities as listed in the units below. Activities will involve class visits to arts events and exhibitions. 

Your progress on the course will be assessed throughout the course this will include tutor feedback and formal assessment at the end of each unit.

  • Explore the arts as a participant
  • Explore the arts as an audience member
  • Arts Inspiration – research the career & work of an artist / performer
  • Arts skills share – informing / passing on arts skills to others

Who is the course for?

  • People aged 16 – 18
  • People aged up to 24 who declare a disability and have an EHC Plan

Entry requirements

  • Entry 3 English

  • Level 1 Creative Craft

Study Programme

If you are aged 16 – 18 or up to 24 who declare a disability and have an EHC Plan, this course will form part of your study programme. The programme also includes English and maths qualifications, employability skills, a work placement and other personal development and enrichment opportunities.

Course Fees

Courses are free for all students aged 16 – 18 (or up to 24 if you declare a disability and have an Education, Health & Care Plan).
