Course content

The Level 2 Creative Craft course will help you develop your skills and knowledge in craft. You will gain good knowledge and understanding of a variety of creative craft processes encouraging you to research and develop your ideas during your time of the course.

Your progress on the course will be assessed throughout the course this will include completing assignments and course units.

Units

  • Use materials, tools and equipment to develop craft techniques
  • Investigate creative enterprise and employment opportunities
  • Develop craft ideas
  • Create, present and evaluate final art and design item

Who is the course for?

  • People aged 16 – 18
  • People aged up to 24 who declare a disability and have an EHC Plan
  • People aged 19+

Entry requirements

  • Evidence of working at least at a level 1 standard
  • English and Maths at Level 1

  • Level 3 Creative course
  • Higher education
  • Employment in the Creative Craft Industry or self-employment

When does the course run?

September 2019

Study Programme

If you are aged 16 – 18 or up to 24 who declare a disability and have an EHC Plan, this course will form part of your study programme. The programme also includes English and maths qualifications, employability skills, a work placement and other personal development and enrichment opportunities.

Course Fees

Courses are free for all students aged 16 – 18 (or up to 24 if you declare a disability and have an Education, Health & Care Plan).

For people aged 19+ the course fee is £941. You may be eligible for fee remission. See Money Matters for details.
