This free GCSE English Language course is ideal if you want to move into employment, change your career or progress into Higher Education. GCSE English is a standard qualification required to have by a lot of employers.

What will I study?

  • Paper 1: 19th Century Non-Fiction and Transactional Writing
  • Paper 2:  20th/21st Century Fiction and Non-fiction and Imaginative Writing

Who is the course for?

  • Students achieving grade D / 3 in a GCSE for English language
  • Students who have achieved a L2 Functional Skills English qualification
  • Adults aged 19+

What are the entry requirements?

  • Grade D / 3 in a GCSE for English language
  • Level 2 Functional Skills English qualification

How will I be assessed?

Assessment of the course will be in the form of exams at the end of the course.
