Course content

Mandatory Units

  • Taking part in Sport (3 credits)
  • Working in Sport and Leisure (3 credits)

Who is the course for?

People aged 16 – 18

People aged up to 24 who declare a disability and have an EHC Plan

Student who have an interested in improving their knowledge, understanding and skills in:

  • Sport and leisure
  • Employability
  • Life skills
  • Health and Safety
  • Working as part of a team

Assessment method

All students will be required to develop a portfolio of evidence for assessment. Evidence will include assessor observations, written / word processed question and answers.

Self-evaluations and diary sheets will be completed by all students throughout the course.

Worksheets will form part of the evidence towards portfolio requirements.

Entry requirements

  • English and Maths at Entry Level 3 or above.
  • A willingness to take part in inclusive sport and exercise sessions.
