Course content

  • Select relevant information that matches requirements of task
  • Enter and develop different types of information to meet needs
  • Bring together different types of information for a purpose

Who is the course for?

People aged 16 – 18

People aged up to 24 who declare a disability and have an EHC Plan


  • have achieved Entry Level 2 Functional Skills ICT
  • are taking a vocational course for which ICT is needed
  • would like to progress toward a vocational programme like ITQ

Assessment method

At the end of the course there will be a timed assessment which will assess all the performance criteria. You will have one hour to complete the tasks.  If a student is not successful first time they will be given opportunities to sit a different assessment on a different day.

Entry requirements

This qualification has been designed to be accessible to all learners however all students must take an initial assessment to ensure the course is a suitable level for them.

Future opportunities / career options

Progression on to further IT courses such as ITQ Level 1 – Office Applications, ITQ Level 1 – Multimedia, Level 1 Award in Social Media or E3 Award in ICT.

Tuesday or Wednesday 9am – 12 noon

Course Fees

Courses are free for all students aged 16 – 18 (or up to 24 if you declare a disability and have an Education, Health & Care Plan).
