Greenbank students are not able to apply for ANY LJMU Scholarship’s under our contract with the University.

Greenbank operate its own HE Sport’s Scholarship programme. The Sport’s Scholarship programme helps talented students fulfil both their sporting and their academic potential.

What is the Sport Scholarship Scheme?

Greenbank’s Higher Education Sports Scholarship scheme helps talented students fulfil both their sporting and their academic potential. To qualify students, need to be participating at the following levels:

  • Athletes competing in any recognized BUSA, World University Games, Commonwealth Games, Olympic and Paralympic Games sport. We will also offer Sports Scholarship support to athletes from sports that Greenbank College is best equipped to provide for, in terms of coaching expertise, community links and facilities.
  • Junior or Senior International standard athletes from all sports are encouraged to apply, as are athletes competing at elite club level.
  • It should be noted that the competitive level benchmarks detailed above serve as preliminary guidelines for the level of athlete eligible to apply. Meeting these guidelines does not guarantee a Greenbank College Sports Scholarship.
  • Sports Scholars will have the potential and dedication to reach world-class potential or performance level (or equivalent) in their sport.

  • Cash bursary (Split into 2 payments across the academic year)
  • A flexible approach to study and assessments.
