Our Level 2 Customer Service students are having a great time volunteering as Welcome Hosts at the Palm House, Sefton Park.

Prior to starting in the role, students Jordan Bentley, Josh Cato, Jordan Connerty, Liam Hudson, Tayla Magee, Melissa McClure, Ethan Simpson, Stephen Westbrook and Joseph Wetherall, were given training by Customer Service tutor Rachael Willoughby. This included them doing research into the history of the Palm House and finding out useful facts about the statues that surround it, so that they could be more helpful to visitors.

Laura McCarten, Senior Events Manager at the Palm House said :

“I just wanted to pass on my thanks to your students. Their help to me on a Tuesday at our Jazz, Tea Dance and Sing a Long events has been amazing.

It’s an absolute pleasure having them join us at the Palm House, you are doing a great job at Greenbank.”

Student, Tayla added:

“I really enjoy the role – going to the Palm House has improved my confidence and it’s been a great experience.”
