To tie in with Adult Learners Week the Greenbank Pass It On Community Reporters have been out and about around the college, grabbing interviews with some of our brilliant adult learners.

An Interview With A Health and Social Care Student

Earlier today we thought we would catch-up with Greenbank College student Alan Deary, to find out what it is like to be an adult learner at the college.

Q: So, can you tell us a little about your course and what you do on it?
A: The courses I do are Maths, English and Health and Social Care. On Health and Social Care I learn about how to work with and support different types of people, such as working with people with disabilities.

Q: What do you enjoy about your course?
A: I like the people that are on my course and the course has given me a lot of confidence.

Q: Where do you think your course could take you in the future?
I am going to go onto to a level three qualification in the same area and continue with my other subjects. After that, I am keen to go to university.

Q: What is it like to be an adult learner at Greenbank College?
It can be hard being an adult leaner but it is really worth it.
