Congratulations to Level 3 Health and Social Care students, Vicky Healey and Tracey Kays who have received conditional offers from Liverpool Hope University to study the subject at degree level.

Both described how the supportive learning environment at Greenbank College and their tutors’ encouragement have helped them progress in education.

Vicky said:

“I have worked in support since I was 16 and started to study Health and Social Care at level 2, 3 years ago.

Going to university was never something that I thought I could do, but thanks to my tutors, I have gradually built up confidence and belief in what I am capable off.”

Tracey added:

“I used to work in retail, but a few years ago I became the main carer for my mum, who has dementia. This got me interested finding out more about the health and social care sector.

Studying has been really empowering for me and I’m really pleased to have been offered an opportunity to go to university.

My tutors have made me believe in myself and have offered practical help with the UCAS application process.

The support and flexibility available to fit studying around my caring and work commitment has been invaluable.”

Both Vicky and Tracey would like to Social Workers, on completion of their education.
