New Futures

The New Futures programme is led by Greenbank College in partnership with VOLA, a consortium of voluntary community enterprise. The programme offers support to people who are aged 16 – 24 and not in education, employment or training (NEET) or are at risk of becoming NEET. It is intended to be a stepping stone if you are not yet ready to move into employment, training or further education.

Participants will be given a comprehensive information, advice and guidance assessment and a personalised action plan.

Your personalised action plan could include:

  •   Accredited or non-accredited course
  •   Work related course tasters
  •   Literacy and numeracy support
  •   Employability skills
  •   Work placement opportunities
  •   Advice and support from employers

Free travel and lunches available through the bursary scheme. To be eligible the parents or learner need to be in receipt of benefits.

You will have a Key Worker who will offer mentoring and support. This support will continue after progression to employment, further education, an apprenticeship or a traineeship.

Reviews will take place regularly to ensure personal targets are met and progression routes are achieved.
