Jason Chau on work placement with FareShare

by Jason Chau

I came to Greenbank College from Gateacre School a few years ago and it was really scary at first but the fact that the College is small made it easier to settle in. Now I’m a Student Ambassador and help out at College events, so that I can reassure people before they start.

At the moment I’m studying Customer Service but I’m also on placement at FareShare, a charity which sends donated food to community groups to produce meals for people in need. This helps me with my course with things like communication skills and team work. I love it; everyone is friendly and we all work really well together as we get the orders ready, load the van and go out to make deliveries.

Eventually I would like a job which involves dealing with the public but first I need to achieve my qualifications and get some experience.

All of the students and staff at Greenbank College are nice and we all look after each other.
