The Digital & Creative sector is one of the driving forces for change of our businesses and our society.
Liverpool is one of the best places to work for professionals going into this industry, with a thriving Baltic quarter devoted to tech start-up, web design and creative companies, as well as global and independent game development and enterntainment companies, such as Sony and Lucid Games choosing our city as their home.
For businesses to flourish and succeed – developing new products, services and new markets – they will need to attract and retain talented young people with strong digital skills and creativity.
At Greenbank, we offer three qualifications to help you develop the skills you need for the modern world.
- iTQ level 1 Certificate in Progression – In most office based settings, you will be expected to have good IT skills and an ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software, find information online and use email. The Level 1 Certificate will help you build a solid foundation for gaining entry-level employment in office settings or progressing to the Level 2 Diploma in Digital & IT Skills.
- Level 2 Diploma in Digital & IT Skills – this qualification builds on previous learning and will teach you the fundamental skills and knowledge required to work in a variety of different IT based roles, with an emphasis on coding, game design, web design and graphic design. This qualification aims to prepare our students for opportunities to go on to further and higher learning and also gain employment in the Liverpool City Region’s booming Digital & Creative sector.
- BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Creative Digital Media Production – The qualification provides an introduction to the study of creative digital media production, equivalent to one A Level. Learners develop an understanding of the media industry through analysing media representations and pitching and producing media projects. It is designed for post-16 learners who aim to progress to higher education, apprenticeships and employment, possibly in the media industries.
