The Pre-Internship Programme has been designed to prepare learners for a supported internship with one of our host employers or with another provider in the local area, such as Strawberry Field Steps to Work or SWRAC’s Prepare to Work programme.
To do this, learners will work towards the Open Awards Level 1 Certificate in Employability and Professional Development, as well as undertaking internal and external work placements to build their confidence and allow them to explore different job roles.
The core learning aim of the Pre-Internship Programme is work experience and employability. All learners on this pathway will be matched with a wide range of employers and job roles so that they can learn through first-hand experience and build the necessary confidence to progress into work or a supported internship.
