This Level 1 course is intended to provide learners with a broad introduction to the sports and active leisure sector, equipping learners with underpinning knowledge and skills specific to the sector alongside a range of transferable employability skills.

There will be a focus on building character, resilience, confidence, skills and knowledge through a range of planned session activities.

What are the entry requirements?

  • English and Maths at Entry Level 3 or above.
  • A willingness to take part in inclusive sport and exercise sessions.

How will I be assessed?

Methods of assessment include observations, assignments, group and individual written tasks. A portfolio of evidence will be developed and units assessed at agreed points of the course. There are also work experience opportunities provided in assisting at Greenbank Sports Academy.

How much will the course cost?
