👉 Industry Visit – Level 1 and Level 2 Sport – Liverpool County Football Association
📍 @seftonlcfa
📆 Thursday 27th June
👉 Our sports students were treated yesterday to a fantastic industry visit to the Liverpool County Football Association in Sefton, where they were able to gain valuable insights into the wide range of different services and job roles the LCFA provides.
⚽ Richard talked us the through the “What, Where, When, How and Why” of the LCFA and gave us a fantastic overview of the organisation.
⚽ Amy surprised us with some of the achievements and challenges of her role as Facility Investment Manager and how she has supported so many #grassrootsfootball teams to access funding to develop and maintain pitches.
⚽ Stuart inspired us with the amazing work he does to bring communities together and give them a sense of belonging and hope through different #inclusivesports sessions.
⚽ Ellie talked about the way in which girls and #womensfootball has been transformed since the epic win of our #lionesses and what she does to support girls to access football in her role as Football Development Officer, as well as the value of volunteering as a stepping stone into employment.
🛑 Matt talked about the many transferable skills you can develop through #refereeing and his role as Referee Development Officer.
🥅 Our students were given a tour of the hospitality facilities, offices and pitches by the lovely Adam and then Richard finished the day with a great skills brainstorming activity around different job roles in the sports industry and the qualification, skills and qualities needed to do them. Our students were also given a career-planning task to get them to think about what they an actively do to improve their skills and employability.
🙏 A massive thank you to the entire team at LCFA.
