Our hairdressing courses will teach you the required skills to work in a wide range of salons, as well as in hotels, care homes, health clubs, on cruise ships or work for yourself.
To be a successful hairdresser you need to have good practical and creative skills, be friendly and enjoy working with people, be organised and a good listener.
Possible job roles available after gaining a Hairdressing qualification include:
- Junior Stylist
- Senior Stylist
- Salon Manager
- Self-Employment
Greenbank College’s Hairdressing Department is based at Salon HQ; a stand-alone building on the edge of the College campus which is open to the public. The purpose built hair salon is well equipped and offers you the opportunity to develop your skills in a ‘real’ hair salon environment
As well as receiving training on your hairdressing course you will also gain work experience at Salon HQ and have the opportunity to go on a work placement at an external salon.
