👉 A massive thank you 🙏 to all of the employers, training providers, NGOs, parents, learners and tutors who made our annual Careers & Networking event a success.
👉 89% of all parents and caregivers who attended rated our event as “very good” and “very helpful” and 75% named specific connections that they made with employers and organisations.
👉 100% of learners rated the event as “very helpful”, stating: “It will help me make great decisions regarding my career”, ” I liked that it gives students the opportunity to access making career choices”, and “I’m waiting [for an e-mail] to start my volunteer work”.
👉 75% of exhibitors rated the event as “excellent”, with the remainder telling us that is was “good and well organised event”. Several exhibitors highlighted the fact that we were able to engage parents and carers in the event: “I liked the interaction with parents and students”; “I liked the involvement of parents in the event”.
👉 Career development days like yesterday enable us to bridge the gap between education and employment and provide effective stepping stones into employment and independent living for our learners.
