WOW Day – Exploring Apprenticeships – 26th November 2024 National Apprenticeship Show 2024 – North West
Today was all about #Networking and gathering information about #ApprenticeshipOpportunities. Our Careers Officer Amanda and Work Placement Coordinator Sophie were accompanied by one of our Level 2 Catering students and talked to providers and employers about different training pathways. Their was a clear emphasis at the event on #STEM, armed forces careers, green sector jobs and legal apprenticeships. We had a great chat with Martin from Sodexo about their Chef Apprenticeships and the world of event catering. We also talked to the team representing the BBC about the apprenticeships that they offer in business operations, data & technology, as well as talking to the Talent for Care team at the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust about their paramedic cadets programme. All in all it was a great event, but it would be fantastic if we could have more representation from the Catering & Hospitality and IT/Game Design sectors at future events, as well as access to apprenticeships for SEND learners. Big shout out to Paige for organising the event and sorting out our registration
