The Pre-Internship Programme has been designed to provide learners with a stepping stone directly into employment and to prepare them for a year-long supported internship with one of our host employers.

The first six-to-eight weeks of the programme are spent acquiring and practising key skills for employment and lifelong learning. To do this, learners will work towards the Open Awards Level 1 Certificate in Employability and Professional Development, as well as undertaking internal work placements.

The core learning aim of the Pre-Internship Programme is work placement and all learners on this pathway will be matched with a wide range of employers and job roles so that they can learn through first-hand experience and build the necessary confidence to progress into work or a supported internship.
