Young People

At Greenbank College, we aim to support you to achieve your potential by offering you valuable learning opportunities. You will be supported every step of the way throughout your time at college to ensure that you leave with the knowledge, skills, qualifications, behaviours, character and values that enable you to live independently, become a fully active citizen and gain employment.

A Traineeship is a stepping stone from learning to employment and consists of a 6-month work placement with an employer, supported by some learning in the college. Trainees will receive a training allowance of £50 per week (based on full attendance) and are guaranteed an interview with a local employer at the end.  The Traineeship programme is aimed at 16-18 year olds, and those aged up to 24 with an EHC Plan who want to build their confidence, skills and employability.
